The Amos Duo

WHO WE ARE

The Amos Duo at Lakeside Chautauqua Gazebo: August 25th, 2021

The Amos duo can be seen performing at unique venues across the midwest. The ensemble was founded in 2017 and members include husband and wife, Douglas and Megan Amos, playing trumpet and French horn. The duo’s mission is to provide an uplifting concert experience that allows audience members to get to know these two brass instruments that are normally only seen in the back of the orchestra. The duo is notorious for engaging the audience and breaking down the barrier between audience and performer. Recent performances include radio broadcast’s at WQLN in Erie PA, the Lakeside Chautauqua Gazebo in Lakeside, OH, and Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Wayne, IN. The Amos duo has a wide variety of repertoire from Classical and Baroque to Jazz and Contemporary. They also love to perform impressionist works by Debussy, patriotic music, Irish favorites, and well-loved Christmas selections during the Holiday season. Something special about the Amos duo is that many of their songs are arranged directly by trumpeter Doug to showcase the couples exact strengths on their instruments. The Amoses perform at a wide variety of venues including nursing homes, schools, house parties, outdoor venues, churches, recital halls, and live radio broadcasts.
